Cobbler Days

As our weather has caught up with the calendar, bringing cold nights and frosty mornings, I have started to bake more again, and to pull the large pot out of the wide drawer under the stove more often. These are cobbler days and pot-of-soup nights.

Cobbler for breakfast? I'm coming to your house ;)

Wouldn't that be fun, Katie?! Come on over!

It wasn't really a very sweet cobbler. No added sugar in the fruit, just a tiny bit in the batter, and then that pretty dusting of confectioners sugar on the top. But, what a way to start the day. *grin*

Did I miss the actual recipes for the chowder and cobbler?

Nan, I didn't actually include them because I was short on time. Shall I add them for you? I'd be happy to do so. I wanted to check, because I felt that I might have posted the corn chowder recipe here or on my other blog at some point.

Yes, for breakfast. Now that is the way to start off a good morning. Thank you God for cobbler.

Eve, Thanks for visiting my very quiet kitchen! I'll come by and visit your blog(s) soon. I haven't made a cobbler in quite some time. Now I'll be craving one! *grin*
